Musa 'Bordelon' Banana Tree - Banana Plants

'Bordelon' boasts good wind resistance. This ornamental banana tree embodies the true look and feel of the tropics. Discovered in the Louisiana town of Bordelonville, its large, ornamental foliage is a lush green with maroon on one side of leaves. The Bordelon banana tree is cold hardy and will bloom beautiful pink flowers in the summertime that attract hummingbirds and other wildlife. The Bordelon will grow to be 12 to 15 feet in maturity and around 2 to 3 feet wide. It does best in full sun to partial shade and prefers well-drained soil.
